Alexis Faison is the Owner & Lead Event Planner for Events by Lexx, an event planning agency based in New York City & Long Island. She has produced high-profile, luxurious events for nearly a decade.
Alexis' strong pull towards events began in college, where she majored in Hospitality & Tourism Management at Delaware State University in Dover, Delaware. The love for events, the planning, the experiences, and the challenges, became building blocks for her future endeavors back in New York City.
Moving into the world of events, Alexis worked as a Senior Event Coordinator at Maritime Parc in Jersey City, NJ making many connections in the industry. She worked closely with couples selecting their vendors, menu, timeline and floor-plan at the special events venue as well as made sure the events ran smoothly. Over the next 4 years, as growth continued Alexis moved into Sales Manager roles catering to both social and corporate events with a specialty in weddings at some well known hotels such at The High Line Hotel and PUBLIC Hotel; she later worked selling over 30 different event spaces for Tao Group including The Dream Hotels, The Moxy, Marquee, Tao, Vandal and many more.
While pursing her career Alexis also continued her love for weddings under the mentorship of Victoria Williams of Victorious Events NYC as the Senior Event Manager. Working together with Victoria has led to curating beautiful and memorable events in Mexico, Dominican Republic, New York, New Jersey and Connecticut.

My favorite trip ever was to Asia with my fiancé exploring Japan, Kyoto, Hong Kong and Macau. (My fiancé is teaching me Cantonese and the best I can do is order fried rice)

As a natural born extrovert, Nazra Khalid-Devaux quickly realized creating unforgettable events was a passion she couldn’t ignore. She developed a passion early on for bringing people together in celebration, as well as an appreciation for the beauty that diversity can bring to all moments, especially events. Nazra works with the Events by Lexx team as an Associate Planner assisting our happy couples from start to finish of their wedding planning.
A true world traveler, Nazra's adventures have influenced every idea she brings to the Events By Lexx team and her love of creating lifelong memories are only outmatched by her work ethic. In addition to her work at Events By Lexx, she’s had an extensive career in being an executive assistant to a C-Level executive at a prominent retail company.
Nazra's love for the event process is what brought her to Events By Lexx after planning her own wedding. COVID-19 tried to put a pause in Nazra’s wedding but her love prevailed and she even spent her quarantine completing a Hospitality and Management certificate from Florida Atlantic University- College of Business to further excel her knowledge about the hospitality industry. Her attention to detail, sense of urgency, and the ability to understand cause and effect, coupled with her knowledge of hospitality are how she takes an event across the finish line.

Originally planned to get married April 2020 we had to postpone our wedding plans until 2021 due to COVID but it couldn't stop me from saying "I Do" to my now husband on August 16, 2020

We welcomed Carter to the Khalid-Devaux fam with open arms and lots of pee pads. COVID may have put a pause on many things but it didn’t stop us from opening our hearts to this new addition

I'm almost positive in my past life I was the owner of a gin speakeasy in London. I tend to make London a required trip once a year which I recommend everyone should do

Alexis was so proud to have participated in the first Women Building Women / Women in Events Breakfast Summit! Hosting 400+ strong women at a sold out Webster Hall teaching, motivating and empowering through the bond of Hospitality. The energy was electric and she had the pleasure of being a guest speaker on the panel discussion “Carving A Niche: How To Create Unique Experiences”
